One of the most beautiful cycle paths in Germany leads through Dresden Elbland: the Elbe Cycle Path. On a two-day tour without any significant ascents between Pirna and Riesa you will discover the most beautiful spots.
It gets a little more demanding in the hilly area southwest of Dresden. Deep valleys with rushing streams and hills with beautiful views alternate between Tharandt and Wilsdruff.
It gets more mountainous during the Saxon winegrower tour along the vineyards.

ICE, IC and EC services bring you to Dresden in comfort and without changing trains. There are also plenty of local connections to destinations in the Elbland region.

There are numerous express bus services to the Elbe metropolis, e.g. Flixbus. . (Please check availability of seats well in advance.)
The Saxon state capital is served by the A4, A13 and A17 motorways. The A14 from Magdeburg/Leipzig merges with the A4 west of the city.
The airport is only nine kilometres to the north. From the S-Bahn terminus at the airport, Line 2 gets you to the city centre in about 20 minutes.
