Dresden Zoo is one of the oldest zoos in Germany.

Founded in 1861, Dresden Zoo is one of the oldest and most popular zoos in Germany. Around 1,400 animals of around 240 species live on 13 hectares. As a local recreation area and educational facility, the zoo attaches great importance to species protection and raising awareness of nature conservation.
